Join us for an enriching evening of “Paint & Meditate,” where tranquility meets creativity. Artist Yijun Ge will lead a rejuvenating guided meditation session, guiding participants to delve deep into a state of mindfulness and inner peace. Following the meditation, attendees will channel their newfound serenity into vibrant expression as they paint their interpretations of Henri Matisse’s iconic masterpiece, “Woman With A Hat.” Immerse yourself in the blissful synergy of meditation and artistry, and let your creativity flourish in a nurturing environment.

 Immerse yourself in a transcendental experience for the creation of art. In the beginning 10 minutes, there will be a group mediation to open to a state of inspiration. After that, all the students will be followed the demonstration of the artist to complete Henri Matisse’s iconic masterpiece.

Artist Biography

Yijun Ge was born in China. While still at graduate school, Yijun started to participate in exhibitions in multiple galleries across the United States and globally. In 2021, her art was accepted by Ocean Shore Gallery in Seattle Washington, where she won first place award. Her next important exhibitions took place in Venice, Italy at Contemporary Venice 2021 held by Itsliquid Gallery and in Rome held by Rossocinabro Gallery. 

Yijun was also featured in multiple online/offline art publications and events in 2021. She was the featured muralist for “Mural Artist Takes a Stand on Violence against Asians” by the Asian American Press. On November 20th, 2021 and December 8th, 2021, she was twice the seasonal champion of the ArtBattle Oakland and ArtBattle San Francisco. Art Battle is a global tournament of talent and live competitive painting event which happens in 50+ cities worldwide. In summer 2021, she taught workshops at the International Art Museum of America.
