Eastern Charm Awakens, Where Art Meets Silk

This Exhibition explores a creative dialogue between mother and daughter, where painting becomes fashion and imagination takes on new form. Inspired by the award-winning Chinese brush paintings of ten-year-old artist Angela Tse, Xu Yuan Yuan reinterprets her daughter’s artworks through a collection of wearable pieces that extend the paintings beyond the page. Together, their work bridges traditional Chinese aesthetics and contemporary design, transforming images into movement, texture, and lived experience.

Angela’s paintings draw inspiration from nature, cultural heritage, family, and the landscapes that surround her. Through Xu’s creative response, these visual stories evolve into garments that carry the spirit of the original works while opening new possibilities for artistic expression. Together, mother and daughter create a dialogue between generations, cultures, and artistic disciplines.

展览以十岁艺术家 Angela Tse的获奖中国水墨画作品为灵感起点 。设计师许媛媛通过一系列可穿戴艺术作品,对女儿的画作进行重新诠释,让原本停留于纸上的艺术延伸至现实空间 。母女二人携手创作,在传统中国美学与当代设计之间搭建桥梁,将静态的图像转化为流动的形态、丰富的肌理,以及可被感知与体验的艺术表达 。

Angela 的作品灵感源于自然风景、文化传承、家庭记忆,以及她所生活的城市景观 。透过许媛媛的设计回应,这些视觉故事被赋予新的生命,转化为承载原作精神的服装作品,并开启更多关于艺术表达的可能性 。
