“Wow Voyage” exhibition: Indian Artists on the Move Internationally! This exhibition is one of the many endeavors in the journey of Art. My Art White Canvas looks forward to introducing its vision with “Wow Voyage” and invites you to be part of this journey. The world-renowned My Art White Canvas artists featured in the Sip Art Gallery include Anshu Pancholi, Dhruti Mahajan, Shrikant Kadam, Sumita Maity, and Riyazuddin. What stands out in this exhibition is the strong individuality of each artist in the style and medium of their choice, and also of how they have imbibed from their roots and tradition yet created their own narrative. Themes of Finding the Self, Meditating on the Self, Strength within Identity, The Feminine, Nature and Us, Portraiture, Fantasy, Miniature tradition and Abstract all come together in a joyous celebration and exploration of Art. From delighting the eyes, to sparking curiosity and questions, and taking the viewer on a journey within through Art, the show will altogether be an experiential delight for the discerning viewer.
Artists Biographies:
My Art White Canvas was conceived in 2019 by Simran Kaur in Jaipur, India. She had the conviction to do something solely dedicated to arts that resonated with her own beliefs and aesthetics. Being part of a rich culture and heritage with vast depth and diversity would enable Simran to explore various styles and forms from Indigenous, Folklore, and Contemporary works not bound by any set of preconceived notions. The world-renowned My Art White Canvas artists featured in the Sip Art Gallery for “Wow Voyage” include Anshu Pancholi, Dhruti Mahajan, Shrikant Kadam, Sumita Maity, and Riyazuddin. The following are statements about the artworks featured in this exhibition taken directly from the artists themselves.
Anshu Pancholi: My ultimate vision is to present and concretize in my art those subtle aspects hidden dimensions of the “soul” of the “woman” that words will never suffice to explain.
Dhruti Mahajan: My art practice is characterized by the geometric shapes in my works. Using acrylic on canvas, my work is minimal, clean, and involves an interplay of geometric shapes to form simple compositions. The balance and interplay of different forms evokes a sense of harmony and joy.
Shrikant Kadam: Colors bring the shape, and sometimes shapes bring the colors on the canvas. The colors run through the canvas. On the canvas, the art starts interacting with me and guides me where to stop. I trail them. I always try to paint what I have experienced from life.
Sumita Maity: I believe that a better world is possible if only we return to nature and let it heal us. I consciously use this belief to create spaces that I hope will help others feel the same peacefulness and connect with their own feelings of joy, stillness, and contentment. When people look at my work, this is what I hope they will see — that despite what else happens, there is always love, hope, and happiness in the world.
Riyazuddin: To highlight my connection with Nature, I am pulled towards the usage of natural pigments in my artworks. Mostly inspired by different styles of Indian miniature paintings and highly impressed by the Pahari School of Rajput Paintings, under which Basohli & Kangra paintings from Jammu & Kashmir (India) for their color and composition. I strive to develop my own practice by mixing the different styles with my personal style of contemporary aesthetics, thereby marking my works with a unique set in their own pattern.

With this solo exhibition, Yijun Ge wants to introduce surrealism from a brand new perspective.
Artist Biography:
Yijun Ge was born in Xiangyang, in the province of Hubei, China. While still at graduate school, Yijun started to participate in exhibitions in multiple galleries across the United States and globally. In 2021, her art was accepted by Ocean Shore Gallery in Seattle, Washington, where she won a first place award. Her next notable exhibitions took place in Venice, Italy at Contemporary Venice 2021 held by Itsliquid Gallery, and in Rome held by Rossocinabro Gallery.
Yijun was also featured in multiple online and offline art publications and events in 2021. She was the featured as the muralist for “Mural Artist Takes a Stand on Violence against Asians” by the Asian American Press. On November 20, 2021 and December 8, 2021, she was twice the seasonal champion of the ArtBattle Oakland and ArtBattle San Francisco. Art Battle is a global tournament of talent and live competitive painting event which happens in 50+ cities worldwide.
In summer 2021, she taught workshops at the International Art Museum of America in San Francisco. She also actively created mural commissions for both private and public companies in the Bay Area.
In 2022, she continues to expand the realm of her reach. She started her own studio in San Francisco where she continues to explore motifs and themes of modern surrealism. She was featured in The Art of Banksy, where her work was shown along side Banksy’s original works at the Palace of Fine Art in San Francisco. Her work was also accepted into the prestigious Mirus Gallery in San Francisco as part of Local Legend group show.
In order to foster a deeper connection with the local community, she started a series of art classes to educate the general public about art making and appreciation. She was also featured in local art festivals such as the 23rd Annual How Weird Street Art Fair, where she performed live painting in front of a diverse audience. In November 2022, her work was accepted by International Museum of America and is due to be exhibited in March 2023 in this exhibition “What is Modern Surrealism.” Her influence was also noticed by The Marquis Who’s Who of America, where she will be featured as a prominent artist in their upcoming publication.

“Nature’s Poems” is a series of “contemporary traditional” paintings that celebrates the beauty in nature and addresses our cultural (dis)connection to nature. Asian-American artist Anita Yan Wong created her earth art by painting directly on wood. Seemingly alive, animals and natural elements such as flowers, birds in full flight, and fish experience a certain level of abstraction but still retain their natural appeal in these beautiful “contemporary traditional” paintings. Now more than ever, we are all in need of Mother Nature to comfort, heal, and distract us from our busy modern way of life. Let us reprioritize what we value and rediscover the magical natural world in a peaceful journey on Earth.
Artist Biography:
Prof. Anita Yan Wong is an Asian-American female artist best known for her expressive brush strokes and unique style of “contemporary traditional” paintings that defy tradition and modernity. The artist, who taught at UC Berkeley S.F. extension California in recent years, is a 4th generation Lingnan painter which originated in southern China in the late 19th century, known for the fusion of mastering modern Chinese, Japanese, and Western painting approaches. Wong worked as an Art Professor for over 15 years at MICA, SVA, and Temple University before returning to a sole focus on her art in 2015.
Her works are currently featured Internationally on over 60 Traditional and Hip Cultural Blogs & Art Magazines including N.Y. Arts, ESPN, Disney Inc, official Bruce Lee Family Foundation, Daily Arts Magazine, Flower Magazine, KTSF Channel 26 News, Komo News Seattle, American Lifestyle Magazine and a cover story of Works & Conversations Magazine. The artist was awarded first place in wall art by “Design within Reach” in Design Philadelphia Award, the “Excellent Scholars” award from Maryland Institute College of Art, “Teaching excellence honor” from the art institute and the Fellowship Award from Robert B. McMillen foundation 2021. Anita Yan Wong’s work is researched by academics, art historians, and PhD students internationally. She has collaborated with MAHB, Stanford University with the goal of preserving Lingnan Guo Hua and the beauties of nature. Yale University’s “China Hands” magazine described her paintings as “Traditional art form that questions the modern minds.”

Sue aesthetics founder, Sue, has based her works on costume aesthetics for decades. Rema Mansi’s goal with this exhibition is to reflect people’s feelings to create an emotional and psychological connection between artist, canvas, and observer through her artwork.
Artist Biography:
Rema Mansi can’t remember the exact day she decided to become an artist. “I have always known, even as a small child, where my destiny was taking me.” Rema, born and raised in Jordan, grew up with a love and passion for art, but decided to pursue other interests after graduating from New York Institute University. Since she moved to the Bay Area four years ago, Rema has dedicated herself to pursuing her dream of becoming an artist, teaching herself how to draw, and developing her artistic networks by participating in shows and exhibiting at galleries.
Rema’s works, paintings and drawings in oil paints and charcoal, are best described as “narrative impressionistic realism.” She relies on her emotions and intuition to inspire her artwork. “My greatest happiness is when the piece on my canvas begins to come alive.” Rema’s art has evolved over time to become a narrative where each spontaneous moment she captures, tells a story.
Rema’s artwork has been recognized by The International Art Museum of America in 2019 and 2022. It has been also recognized previously by the Society of Western Artists with a 3rd place Award in the Contemporary Art Exhibition in 2019.

Aspiring artists in the Bay Area explore the broad and at times challenging world of art by channeling emotions into the creation of different types of portraits and landscapes. The pieces on display demonstrate an understanding of subject and composition, and feature many Scholastic gold key and medal winners. Alongside the individual pieces, Tibetan-style handicrafts that the artists designed for the Arro Khampa Cultural Society store in Shangri-La, Yunnan will be exhibited.
About us -MUSE Art Club
Founded on Nov. 12, 2016, MUSE Art Club, consisting of fourteen members, kick-started a long series of fundraising art events with the completion of a mixed-media art event themed around the twelve Chinese zodiac signs. Over the years, MUSE has been a welcoming environment for artists to improve together and familiarize themselves with various art mediums–including spray painting, pour art, crochet, acrylics, and collage art.
