The International Art Museum of America is pleased to present Stories Through My Eye, a solo exhibition of lifelong work by Iranian artist Ben Bahreiny, opening September 3rd, 2025.
Stories Through My Eye displays for the first time in public view Bahreiny’s collection of over 50 years of textile work in needlepoint. Precise stitches compose scenes inspired by the poetry of Omar Khayyam, a Persian poet and philosopher from the 11th century and Bahreiny explores centuries of Persian-Iranian myth, history, and culture. Stories of the past come to life in bright threads on canvas.
“I remember every [needle]point. Every point.”
This is Ben Bahreiny’s first solo exhibition.
