The Sala de Jade is a small, specially-designed room on the second floor of the museum, with beautiful examples of the jade panels and jade porcelain tiles created by H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, integrated into the room’s colonnade niches. These are hand-created jade panels, each accompanied by a poem. When people hear of “jade,” they typically think of green stone. Yet jade comes in many brilliant and lustrous colors. Here, even a dark black jade panel shines with a luster and depth of unprecedented beauty.
