2026 Live Youth Art Contest

The International Art Museum of America is proud to present the 2026 IAMA Live Youth Art Contest Exhibition, featuring artworks created by young artists during the museum’s live competition on October 24, 2026.

Participants ages 10–18 gathered at IAMA to create an original artwork within a 2.5-hour competition period, responding to a theme selected for their age group.

This exhibition celebrates the creativity, imagination, and artistic expression demonstrated by every participant throughout the event.

2026 Competition Themes

Ages 10–12
A City Under the Sea

Ages 13–15
Nature Takes Over

Ages 16–18
The Future Through My Eyes

Artists were encouraged to interpret their themes freely and creatively, allowing for imaginative, symbolic, personal, abstract, and narrative approaches.

Celebrating Young Artists

The completed artworks reflect a remarkable variety of ideas, techniques, and perspectives.

Following the live competition, the works were reviewed by the judging panel, with First, Second, and Third Place awards presented in each age category, along with Honorable Mentions in the 10–12 and 13–15 age groups.

More importantly, the exhibition recognizes every participating young artist and the creativity they brought to this special cultural event in San Francisco.
