About the Exhibition
“Sixteen Wonders” is a collection of artworks by H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in permanent exhibition at IAMA. Here, a solo artist creates artworks in sixteen totally different styles. Moreover, they are unprecedentedly striking in their wide variety of techniques, media, and subject matter, from small animals to widespread ink landscapes, detailed figures to heavy-stroke plum branches. These sixteen wonders demonstrate the artist’s ability to freely play with the forms and materials with no restrictions. Each reaches the highest mastery of art. Visitors will be able to submerge themselves in these wonders, including special ink techniques for portraying animal furs such as the pandas; the hazy and fanciful landscape with clouds and waterfalls where the viewer cannot tell where one starts and the other ends; the powerful calligraphy-stroke plum blossoms; and the micro-detailed thin and flowing lines of figures such as Jigong, just to name a few. Come and experience these wonders in person, and share in the amazement.
